Ava Day is January 15th - We celebrated a little early

Ava day is January 15th. It is the day that I saw my beautiful little girl in person and held her in my arms. I am going to be out of town, so we celebrated it today.
Hear is the link describing the day three years ago -
This is the most meaningful day of the year for me. It is the day my baby really became my baby - responsiblity and all :). To celebrate Ava Day we wake up in the morning and do whatever Ava wants until she falls asleep that night. Mommy is supposed to try very hard to not say "no"...

New Friends

Well, now that Mommy and Ava have settled in to Oneonta for a year we ventured outside of our normal group of people and made some new friends. We went to basketball games on Friday at Hartwick. Ava and I went to the YMCA to watch Sam play soccer and then to a friends house to watch Football playoffs with adults and a bunch of kids. Sunday we stayed home. It was a great weekend and nice to see so many parents and kids Ava's age in one place. Thanks to my new friends.

Happy New Year 2010

New Years was fun. New Years Eve morning we were still at Grammy B's. We went to her house last Tuesday and stayed a few days to make sure her surgery went well and we had a great time. We went to dinner at Stella Luna's with Fran - excellent food. Ava ate cheesy pasta. Fran and Ava drew a great New Years Eve sign to bring home. Mommy and Meg went to our neighbors to play with her grandchildren - I had to drag Ava away kicking and screaming at bedtime. We stayed home for the rest of the night for a low key evening.
Ava and I stayed home last week because she did not have day care. It was a wonderful week with lots of very cute Ava moments.
